Personal Profile
Ms Janet Epps (BSc. (Geol), MSc. (Envir), FAusIMM) is a Director of Environmental Management Consultants International (EMCI) and a Senior Associate of BDA with some 35 years national and global experience in specialist environmental and community issues management, policy development, regulatory and Due Diligence consultancy services.
Ms Epps has worked with the UN, World Bank, the IFC (the Ombudsman’s Office of the IFC in Washington) and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), and the NSW Pollution Control Commission providing policy and management advice on designated projects and contributing towards national, institutional and corporate sustainable development strategies. Ms Epps has been involved in developing the sustainability concept as it relates to the mining industry from the early 1990s.
She has completed assignments in Australasia, South-East, Eastern and Central Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa, South America and the Caribbean. She has worked on numerous UN and IFC/World Bank and AusAID consultancy projects and has undertaken environmental and social reviews together with permitting and approvals assessments for a wide variety of independent assessments for Due Diligence and IPO projects covering most mineral commodities in most continental and geographical areas.
